Sanyo launches family size 34L microwave, its biggest addition

Sydney, September 1st 2006 – Home cooked meals just got easier and faster, with the large 34 litre microwave from Sanyo Oceania, one of the world’s leading consumer electronics companies. Ideal for families and entertaining, this new easy-to-use microwave oven can cater for anything.

The new 1100W EMS8586 Microwave Oven, with a generous 34L capacity, allows efficient cooking of large servings, perfect for family size meals or when catering for guests. A variety of dishes and plate sizes can fit into the microwave, making cooking and reheating foods more flexible.

User friendliness is paramount, with the design including direct-access menus – the microwave key pad features 8 options, which give easy and quick access to cooking and reheating without having to chose and enter a time or power level. Select from pizza, baked potato, fresh and frozen vegetables, popcorn, beverage, soup and dinner plate. Additionally, the memory function allows up to five personal cooking options to be programmed.

Variable power gives control and versatility over the intensity of the cooking or reheating. Ten power levels are available to choose from, ensuring a suitable cooking speed is available for any food.

Defrost food without cooking it using the Speed or Weight Defrost setting. The defrost function automatically adjusts the power level from medium-high gradually down to low as the thawing process progresses.

The microwave display shows the cooking time, power, indicators and a 12-hour clock. A child safety lock ensures there is no unsupervised operation.
The ultimate in cooking for families and convenience is available from Big W, Dick Smith and Myer in late September and from Kmart in late October.
